PETER COOMBE

Born in 1956 in Adelaide, South Australia.
Peter has been working with wool from a young age and is a self-taught artist. All his textile art (French Knitting also known as tomboy stitch) is created spontaneously. There are no patterns and each piece is unique - ranging from framed spiral mandalas under glass to cuddly teddies, warm colourful beanies, freestyle wallhangings and now NEW Coombe Cushion Creations.

Born 1950 in Adelaide, South Australia to Latvian parents.
Diploma of Art & Design (Graphic Design) 1972.

(Swinburne University, Melbourne)
Studied art at Applied Art School of Zurich, Switzerland (1972 – 3)
Certificate in Stage Design (1973)

International Summer Academy of Fine Art, Salzburg, Austria.
A graphic designer for more than 25 years.

Fine art in the collection of the Applied Art School of Zurich, original book illustrations at Michael Treloar Antiquarian Booksellers in Adelaide,

and in private collections.
